About Our Area

The North East Lincolnshire towns of Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham, and surrounding villages offer very different things. But taken as a package, they combine to offer cost-effective, well-connected business locations within a few miles of stunning countryside and great schools.   North East Lincolnshire is on the south bank of the Humber estuary – the centre of the growing renewables industry in the UK.

We’ve got:

• the busiest port complex

• the largest concentration of food companies

• fantastic renewable energy opportunities

• large strategic employment sites

• the lowest operating costs

Grimsby is a thriving town full of history and heritage. Once one of the world’s largest fishing ports, the town has developed into a bustling location brimming with opportunities.

Known as ‘Europe’s Food Town’, Grimsby has a prospering food industry, providing thousands of jobs in over 500 food-related businesses, including global food brands such as Young’s, headquartered in Grimsby. The town is also diversifying in new industries such as offshore wind and renewable energy, bringing with it a range of global companies and opportunities.

When it comes to leisure facilities, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Grimsby boasts two of North East Lincolnshire’s popular shopping centres; Freshney Place and Abbeygate, featuring a range of high street brands and independent boutiques. There are also a number of excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants, including Abby’s Restaurant & Wine BarSage Rustic Dining. Other local attractions include leisure centres, gyms and a monthly Famer’s market that’s held in Victoria Street every third Friday of the month.

If you’re keen to explore Grimsby’s rich history, then visit the Fishing Heritage Centre and the town’s Dock Tower – at 309 feet tall and modelled on Palazzo Publico in Siena, Italy, the tower proudly dominates the skyline.
