Discover the dinosaurs!
For some fun family-time why not go on a dinosaur safari?
From Triceratops to Pterodactyls, Ankylosaurus to T-Rex, you can find them all roaming in various open spaces across North East Lincolnshire as a brand new virtual reality game hits our area.
Created to encourage families, young and old, to get out and about and visit some of our lovely parks and open spaces, new virtual trails and games have been developed for use with a smart phone.
To get started, download the Love Exploring App and discover our parks, woodlands and gardens as you hunt for the dinosaurs.
A perfect weekend or school holiday activity, families will love the Dinosaur Safari. Head down to any of the five locations and test your Dino knowledge with the quiz. Safari goers will see the huge Dinosaurs appear in front of them with this augmented reality game. If you’re in Cleethorpes, games are located in Central Prom and Pier Gardens area and the Boating Lake, Meridian and the coastal path area. Park lovers can hunt Dinosaurs in People’s Park and Weelsby Woods and in Homestead Park, Immingham.
We’d love to see your photos! You can take a selfie with a Dino with the in-built photo-taker (and you can save them to your photo reel). Tag us in on any images you share on social media using #discovernel and we’ll share our favourites.
New games will be added over the coming months including Space Walk, Mini Beasts and more, so keep a look out for more information. Better still sign up to our news and events emails and we’ll let you know as and when new games and trails go live.
Also inside the App are maps, points of interest, events listings and new virtual trails to explore. New trails are being developed and more will be added over the coming weeks and months.
