Immingham

Immingham

Immingham has a rich and varied history. With access to the Humber estuary key for early sea-farers and for food, archaeological artefacts have been been found dating to pre-Roman times in the area.

The town also has links to the passengers who made the legendary journey on a ship called the Mayflower to settle in America forming one of the first English colonies and is one of the Mayflower villages in the North of England. You can spend a lovely afternoon in the area visiting the various historical and social history sites in the area to explore more about the past.

In more recent times, Immingham has developed as a small town with a thriving and active industrial dock area, currently managed by ABP.
