Cleethorpes and North East Lincolnshire is a great place to visit for people of all ages and abilities.

We’ve put together a selection of information to help with your visit.

There are a number of public toilets across North East Lincolnshire. Visit North East Lincolnshire Council’s website for toilet locations and opening times. This also lists changing facilities and accessible toilets. Toilet provision is currently free in Cleethorpes.

For a list of car parks across North East Lincolnshire, visit the Council’s website. Spaces are free of charge for Blue Badge holders in council-run car parks.

Swimming and water sports aren’t the only ways that people can get into trouble at the beach. Tide times and heights vary throughout the month and you can easily get cut off by the tide whilst out walking on the beach.  Do check the tide times so you know when to expect the tide coming in. Please make sure you leave any sand banks 5 hours before the high water times to avoid being cut off by the fast incoming tide.

The attractions of North East Lincolnshire offer varying levels of accessibility so we recommend checking their websites for the full and up to date information about their facilities. Look out for a link to their accessibility guide.

Beach wheelchair hire is available from Tourist Information and the resort team have a Beach-friendly wheelchair available for hire.

Open access to the beach is provided by a number of un-gated steps and ramps along the length of the promenades.

Slipway access: The beach is accessible by three slipways at the Pier, at the junction with Brighton Street and near Wonderland on the North Prom. In order to access the slipways, members of the public will need to register with the Resort Team at the Beach Safety Office for a permit and key for the slipway gates.
